Adult MinistriesWe, at Ocean View, believe that it is possible to live in the presence and power of God right now. The good news that Jesus proclaimed was far more than the minimal entrance requirements for getting into heaven when you die. Through Jesus, we can have a relationship with God that continues to grow and develop through the years. We can become progressively more and more like Jesus as we walk with Him each day. That means that we can begin to think and feel what Jesus would think and feel if He were in our place, and consequently we can begin to do what Jesus would do.

We want to walk together through the good times and the tough times as we grown in the new life that God has given us in Jesus Christ. Specific ministries are available to help with the various challenges that life may bring our way.

Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning Bible StudyAs you read the New Testament, you come to understand the growth or transformation is a normal, expected part of our walk with Christ. But, it is not automatic. It doesn’t just happen, though it is always a matter of grace.

With that in mind, we offer adult Bible Study groups on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, 10:10 AM and 11:30 AM with a wide range of ages represented. Participants have the option of a topical or verse-by-verse study. Regardless of what you’re looking for, we should have a place for you.

Located just outside the sanctuary in the foyer is a large Welcome / Information Counter. Each Sunday morning there are friendly, helpful individuals here waiting to help you find the class that is right for you. For more information, contact Everett Douglas, Missional Minister, at 843.449.3384.

This Bible Study Kit includes one Bible study book, four DVDs and one leader guide.

Facilitator: Jerry Robertson / Room B104

The “Revelation of Jesus Christ” is the title John gives the book we simply call Revelation. Our study will include how to study the Bible in general and specifically how to approach a book like Revelation. We will proceed with a verse-by-verse look at the twenty-two chapters of this great book, focusing on how Jesus Christ is the center of the entire book.  We will move from John’s vision of the risen Lord in Chapter 1 to the “things which are” in the letters to the seven churches in Chapters 2 and 3. Next, we will move to the “things which will come hereafter” in the prophecies of Chapters 4-22. This book is meant to be understood by Christians and we should look at it for its great spiritual value as we move toward the fulfillment of its prophecies. No book is required other than the Bible.
