Dana Lidard
A beautiful fall day in 1968, in the small Tidewater town of Franklin, Virginia is where life began for Dana.

In 1969, her father's job moved the family to another small town just west of Washington, DC. She had the best of both worlds. The big city was close enough to visit but the small town is where she could really experience life. Attending a little country church with her family gave her a basis for her faith. But attending a Christian high school is where she first made her profession of this faith. "Being surrounded by other teenagers who were so boldly and unapologetically proclaiming the name of Jesus was a profound example for me." This experience changed her life as well as the life of her family.

Within a few months, mom, dad, brother and grandparents all came to know
Jesus as Lord and Savior. Her growing relationship with Jesus is her greatest source of joy and peace in her life.

Her husband of 16 years and two beautiful children are her biggest blessings. "They keep me smiling. There's nothing I love more than being a wife and mother." Which is what her main occupation had been, up until 1999.

She delighted in serving God through a volunteer position at OVBC for a few
years. This led to the offer of a part time staff position as Children's Ministry Director. The position became full time a year later. "I am blessed to have a job doing what I loved to do as a volunteer", says Dana. "I get to witness first hand the planting, watering and sprouting of seeds in the lives of children. I also get to work alongside many of OVBC's faithful and willing servants who share the same desire for reaching children with the Good News."
